Safety instructions for wood products

To ensure you can use our wooden products safely and for a long time, please observe the following instructions. These apply to both decorative and practical items such as cutting boards, cooking spoons, serving boards, or spiritual home accessories.

Heat resistance

  • Wood products are not heat resistant.
  • Do not place them on hot stovetops and do not put them in the oven or microwave.
  • Keep wood products away from open flames.
  • There is a risk of fire if the heat source is in direct contact with it.

Water and moisture

Wood is a living natural material and is sensitive to moisture.

  • Never clean wooden products in the dishwasher.
  • Don't leave them in the water.
  • Do not expose them to running water for extended periods.

Too much moisture can cause the wood to warp, crack, or lose stability.

  • Clean wooden products with a slightly damp cloth.
  • Then dry them thoroughly.
  • Do not use harsh cleaning agents or abrasive sponges.

Products such as cutting boards, cooking spoons or serving boards are suitable for short-term contact with food.

  • Oiled products are treated with food-safe oils.
  • Decorative products or lacquered surfaces are not intended for direct contact with food.

Always pay attention to the specific instructions for each product.

Oils and surface care

Regular treatment with linseed oil or a food-safe wood oil protects the surface and extends the lifespan.

Note: Some products are intentionally left untreated to allow the wood to age naturally. These products should not be oiled.

Child safety

  • Wooden products are not toys unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Damaged products can splinter.
  • Some products may contain small parts.

Keep wooden products out of the reach of small children.

  • Store wood products at room temperature in a dry place.
  • Avoid direct sunlight.
  • Significant changes in temperature or humidity can lead to cracks or deformations.
